Lord Prawn has witnessed 35 years of Beautiful changes in Umhlanga, originally the doors opened up in Durban on 2 May 1975. The Chemaly brothers reinvented the way you serve Seafood to Locals, Tourist and Seafood Lovers. John then moved the restaurant to Umhlanga in 1989, we have been in the same premises ever since, John kept the service level at a high standard with his amazing team of loyal and conscientious staff members, some of which have been at Lord Prawn since the start.

At Lord Prawn we strive to constantly serve the best quality of food and South African Wines, Beers and Ciders at a reasonable price but with a genuine want to please our customers and in turn build strong customer relationships and add to our Prawn family!
